I have seen that Sports Century episode on Secretariat about 10 times. It seems like whenever it is on, I just happen to be channel surfing and find it. I could watch it a 100 times. I was not into horse racing at all when I saw that Belmont race on TV back in 73. I just watched it becasue of all the hype. Ever since that race, I have loved horse racing and Secretariat will always be my favorite athelete of all time.

In order to keep him happy they had to bring a Rooster along to keep him company in his stall! The Chicken was like a Pet to him..Also when he stepped on the Track and the Crowed cheered he would stand tall puff out his chest and strut!! If he could have signed autographs he would have!! Unfortunately for racing Fans he never was able to pass on his genes of greatness to any of his offspring.. :( |

"If Secretariat were human he would have been a real SOB ... he was arrogant ... he was the heavyweight champ and he knew it" |
