Yea I got the news via that Cosell annoucement - then to top if off later that night I got news my grandfather had passed away...not exactly a "Double Fantasy" if ya know what I mean....

I still have all the Newsday articles related to this laminated and in my closet. I pull them out every now and again. Sad day I had just gotten his latest tape, notice not a CD.

i gonna sound like my father but i remember it like it was yesterday,cried that night...still went to the Jet game that weekend though...lost to the 0-13 saints...shoulda went to the memorial...

I remember deciding not to go to the Jets/Saints game and went to central park. It was very surreal being in a crowd of 100,000 and you could hear a pin drop during the moment of silence

I watched a report on Lennon's death last night on the news. The strange thing is that a group of people were singing "Rain" accompanied by several acoustic guitars. Lennon's spirit must have wanted that tune out there yesterday. Even most Beatle fans don't know that obscure song. Here's one I should have posted yesterday as well. Great images of the John.
