I think it will take us until after the bye week maybe longer,with D. Hend's big playbook and different schemes

If a Head Coach can not have his team prepared by opening day, something is terribly wrong.

What is the purpose of training camp?

Exactly. It's the Hackett factor that worries me.

with this team i agree with u. of our 11 starters right now we have 1 new linebacker in barton and a new cb and safety. and if we play a lot of man to man barrett just has to cover the receiver. and there is plenty of time for him and tongue to learn the cover 2 when we use it. we do have a lot of new players but there better not be any excuse about getting to play together. bradway has had 3 years and this draft to put his team together. its time to play football and WIN

Got the first two games to not really gel together, but after facing the two first year starters I think that will get us on a roll

Both rookie QB's will torch the Jets weak secondary.

They have to be licking their chops facing the Jets early on in the year.

51, let's take a quick look at the facts.

Hendu is coming in promising major changes with the defense.

He promises to be more agressive with different blitz schemes.

That's all fine and dandy [u][b]if[/b][/u] the Jets can pressure the QB.

If not, teams will exploit the weakest link on the Jets D- the secondary.

Hell, high school QB's can hit wide open receivers in one-on-one coverage.

All I'm saying is this new, aggressive approach sounds good but it is still risk versus reward.

It's not like the Jets have 2 shutdown CB's and a speedy FS.

I said after the buy week. Regardless. it's an opinion, you could be in for a shock as well.

Also I don't think we'll lose a game before the bye week.

I said after the bye week as well.....but you'll know what the D is gonna be about in the first two games. This man is taking no prisoners when it comes to the D. I like his attitude and his approach. These guys will appreciate that and will have no choice but to work hard for him. He's gonna instill a good fear in them.
