Anyone know why J. Vilma wasn't given his college number 51? You can't tell me that the Jets couldn't assign Quincy Stewart or whatever his name is the number 53. This seems silly to me. Wouldn't you want to make your number one draft pick happy?

it doesn't matter what number the Villian wears

the 53 takes up more ink than the 51 and since people think he needs more weight they left him with 53 to see if he hits harder with it :lol:

I don't know, A lot of people are kinda superstitious about that kinda stuff

I just wanna see him in 51 because its a cooler number (plus its cox's old jersey) :D

Maybe he's such an unselfish team player that he doesn't want to take someone else's number even though that player might not make the team, what a swell guy ;) .
