The Red lion in Denver is a round hotel. i stayed there in 95? or 96, saw my only Dead show, however I drank mushroom tea and lost my noggin. Seriously I wore a hat and thought if I took it off, I would lose my mind!!!!!

i dont know the full accurate history but apparently mobile invented mardi gras but New orleans took it to the next level.

Mardi Gras started in Mobile but it is more family oriented....Mardi Gras in Mobile is the PG version versus the R/XXX version in New Orleans...
