2001 by far. Everything just fell into place and it was such a cinderella story. 2003 was the result of a damn good team playing damn good football. The only enigma of the 2003 team was how they got blown out in week 1.

You would still be only the third best team in the AFC East. ;)

The 2001 Patriots were definitely more of an enigma because they weren't suppose to be there and they shouldn't have been. 2003, everybody expected them to be there despite what Bill Belichick tells his team. ;)

2001 was the enigma because if not for the NY Jets, the Pats never win the Superbowl.

After being like 2-4, the Jets Mo Lewis knocks out their QB, thus allowing Brady to enter the picture.

The Pats needed the Jets to win game 14, lose game 15, then win game 16 to be put into the playoff position that they needed to be to have a chance.

The Jets were the biggest reason the Pats won in 2001.

In 2003, the Pats won because they knew that they could do it; they did it already.

So, the NY Jets were the reason that the Pats won the superbowl in 2001 AND 2003!!!

2001 by far. The Pats stole our coach and our players who we couldn't use and found their QB of the future in Brady only because we Knocked out their QB. That team knew how to play like one for the common good instead of ME,ME,MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. They basically said we can win a SB no matter how tainted it might be with just a good secondary and role players on the front seven. But the dynasty is ending after all the assistants leave. Once Romeo and Fatso Weiss leave the team is done. They better win it this year because I could see them needing to be rebuilt and be down for three years or more. Once they loose that secondary they are done. they won't be able to blitz as they have without that lockdown secondary.
