The biggest climber this week was the Jacksonville Sharks who climbed from ninth last week to number five this week. The Battle Wings fell from fourth to sixth this week while the Alabama Vipers remained in seventh. The Tampa Bay Storm moved two spots from tenth to eighth, and the Arizona Rattler dropped from fifth last week to ninth this week. Rounding out the top ten this week and making their first appearance in this season fan poll is the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz who defeated the Cleveland Gladiators 63-50 for their first AFL win.

Chicago Rush remain on top of Week 3 AFLWA Poll
04/21/2010 10:47 AM

The top three teams held their positions in the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) Top 8 Poll.

Receiving 10 of the 12 first-place votes, the Chicago Rush (3-0) remained on top with 94 points. The other two first-place votes went to the No. 3 Milwaukee Iron (2-0), which had 70 points, just one behind the No. 2 Tulsa Talons (2-0).

Two teams moved up two spots – the No. 4 Spokane Shock (2-1) and the No. 5 Alabama Vipers (2-1).

04/21/2010 10:52 AM

CHICAGO REGAINS CONTROL IN WEEK 3 COACHES POLL
TULSA – The Chicago Rush have climbed back to the top of the coaches poll this week on the heels of their 70-56 victory over the Arizona Rattlers last Saturday. The Rush are the sole team with a record of 3-0, with two of their victories coming on the road.
Tulsa dropped to No. 2 after spending a week at the top. They observed their first bye of the season in Week 3 action, but are set to face Arizona on Friday in Phoenix. Milwaukee remained at No. 3 despite their 65-48 home victory over their division rival Iowa Barnstormers.
The biggest climber from last week were the Spokane Shock. They were ranked No. 9 in the Week 2 poll after starting their season 1-1. Their sole loss was versus the Milwaukee Iron in Week 1. However, the Shock climbed five spots to No. 4 this week after they pulled out a victory over the previously undefeated Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings, 78-70. The Dallas Vigilantes took the largest plunge, dropping four spots after their 41-54 loss against Tampa Bay.
