A serious question. Have the Jets ever won 3 division games in a row before?
I was just thinking about this and I can't remember the Jets ever doing this before.
Somebody help me out here, have we ever won 3 division games straight (back to back to back) like we just did?? And don't forget, the last 2 were division road wins which is that much tougher. Last edited by ARodFLKeysJetsFan; 10-04-2010 at 12:55 AM. |

Are you talking 3 consecutive games?
They mentioned during the telecast it was the first time we started 3-0 in division since 2000. Not sure if thats what you mean or not though. |

Yep just looked it up. Our last 3 games in December was against Miami, Buffalo & New England and we won all 3. Almost swept the whole division series that year except we lost the 2nd meeting with the Colts by 1 point. That's when the Colts were still in our division of course. |

yes. 1998
It was the final 3 games (week 15-17 against the Dolphins, Bills, and NE) we won to clinch the Jets' first ever division championship behind Vinny & the Tuna. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/nyj/1998.htm The only other time I know of is in 1986 we won 4 Division Games in a row week 3-6. Remember we had Indy in the division back then. Now that sounds like a rough childhood. LOL. I do have some fond memories of the Ken O'Brien days, especially the 51-45 W over Marino and the Phish that year. Last edited by ARodFLKeysJetsFan; 10-04-2010 at 01:30 AM. |
