Revis is once in a lifetime player.
A lot of players stepped up last night, but I feel Revis deserves the game ball. Just the mere sight of him put fear in Manning and the coaching staff.
And what a great defensive gameplan by Rex, just brilliant. |

I've not seen one player affect the opposition's game plan this much.

I said the same thing last night, he's not a once in a generation type of player... he's once in a lifetime. And we should all feel privileged to be watching a player of this caliber perform at his prime. For Revis to be doing what he's currently doing, at a time when the game is so heavily slanted towards the offensive side of the ball and the passing game in particular boggles the mind.
Years from now we'll be telling our children and grandchildren of the greatness of Revis Christ. |

no he hasn't...he's the kind of guy that rides the wave...if the jets lose this sunday he'll be spamming the board w/ all sorts of nonsense he as usual, proclaimed the game over after the score was 7 - 0 and was ranting and raving about the jets |

Greed? I call it getting your due. He's worth what he wanted. You don't see ppl complaining when Manning or Brady or someone of that caliber asks for the world. Revis is just that to defense. |

I don't like hold outs if you do fine.. Players like DeMarcus Ware had a low year in his contract and didn't hold out.. When did Manning or Brady hold out and how do you compare a DB to a QB?? |

I hate to say it but that's exactly the name that started to come to mind! Revis needs to do this for several more seasons and he needs to be a critical factor in an eventual SB (which I'm sure he would be if, god willing, we ever won one). If that happens then he gets put in the conversation with Lawrence Taylor as the type of game-affecting player that has offenses totally game plan around him. |

Revis is a good player, a Pro Bowl caliber player, but "once in a lifetime"?........please child! You must be like 12 years old.
Revis is certainly one of the top corners in the league, but Asomugha has been doing the same thing for years, and he's still doing it. Not to mention guys like Mike Haynes, Darrell Green, Champ Bailey, Ron Woodson, Deion Sanders, Ty Law, Mel Blount, and countless others who did it over a long period of time, and were still alive the last time I looked. Revis has done it for two years. We'll see where he ends up long term, but there have certainly been many guys who were on the top of their game for a couple of years but couldn't sustain it over time. Yes he's a good player. But let's not get carried away. |

you're damn right he is...i was LOLing this whole summer seeing these fools on here want to trade him away...you don't trade Revis...not until he's 33 and asking for huge money and even then you know you made a mistake but at least now it's justified.
