Just Got iPhone for Verizon...any must have apps/recommend apps? - Jets Insider.com Forums

after laying out close to 400 dollars for the phone and chargers and screen protectors the whole nine yards, I need some ideas for some apps....i never had a iPhone or an iTouch (ive only have the ipods with the wheels) so any ideas (free or not) are appreciated

I know 400 is a joke...the phone itself was 300 and then the other stuff thrown in was another 80...verizon absolutely kills you when it comes to phones....lesson learned

I use Android, but yes, DEFINITELY Angry Birds, without a doubt it is the most addicting app I have ever had.

btw, all u verizon users really took the bait on this one.. did it ever occur to you why verizon has waited 4 years to bring the iPhone in? it;s bc they want ONE LAST PAYCHECK BEFORE THEY HIT A WALL.

3G is dying my friend. it's all about 4G- does you iPhone have 4G? no, it doesn't.. however, the iPhone 5 which comes out in 4 short months will have 4G capability. that is the future. you just signed up for 2-years for a network that is dying. lol.

good luck tho, it's still a dope phone.

4G, 5G, 6G, when does it end? It doesn't. Just like buying a computer. As long as you're happy with it that all that matters.

The only people concerned about 4G, 5G etc are the dorks standing in line to get a new phone, just so they can be seen with one. JMO

Download 'Pulse' it gives you all the updates from a lot of your favorite sites all in one place like DeadSpin, Reddit, Digg, and a TON more, just as an example. Super easy to use and good way to stay in the loop

Facebook/kindle (if you own a kindle)/netflix/espn app/espn radio/pandora/shazam/open table/seamless web/skype/google places/pano (for taking panorama pictures)/if you have sunday ticket "sunday ticket" app/fandango (movie tickets)/wine ratings are some of my go-tos.

He shouldn't be blasted... It's a great buy.

Once LTE fully rolls out, both networks that carry the phone will make all smart phone users extremely happy, as the drain was just too much for one provider to handle...

As far as apps, a must have is tapatalk, which is how I view this site most days...

Agreed.. I'm going to wait and see how things unfold with iPhone 5 and vz iphone vs att before deciding if I pickup the iphone 5 this year on ATT or wait til next year and get the iphone 6 (or w/e) on verizon.
