DEs & OLBs - Who can the Jets target in FA to complement the draft?

anyone know who the jets may be looking at? and what about an experienced RT in free agency?

I think Barry Cofield from the Giants could make an effective transition to a 5-tech in a 3-4 scheme.

As for OLB's, Manny Lawson isn't a double digit sack guy but he can cover TE's and RB's out of the backfield with the best of them.

If the 2010 rules are extended tomorrow to cover the 2011 season, then the Final Four Jets would again be restricted in signing free agents.

So the question first would be who may they lose so they can then subsequently sign a free agent(s).

another question on that - if either edwards or cro are signed by another team, would the jets get comp picks in next year's draft? what about brad smith, etc?

If they draft a possible starter like Ayers then someone like Antwan Barnes maybe?

If they don't then I guess Manny Lawson, but now I'm not so sure he's not a younger, more athletic version of Bryan Thomas.

Cromartie and Brad Smith (and Holmes) would be restricted free agents...so they would likely stay.

If we lost Edwards...we could get compensation (depending on what else Jets did), but it is a super secret formula to determine that.
