- Word is the Kansas City Chiefs are set to take Phil Taylor with the 21st pick of the draft. This is bad news for the New York Jets who have Taylor atop their wish list. The latest from the Jets war room is head coach Rex Ryan is lobbying hard for the team to take Brooks Reed/DE-OLB/Arizona but the front office has a lower grade on Reed and feel he’s a bit of a reach at 30.

No surprise regarding Taylor to KC..And whew if the FO holds off Rex or at least trades down

Coaches that fall in love with guys late can ruin drafts. I hope our scouts and gm can stand up to him if they truly feel he is not the best player for the Jets.

Scott Pioli has no problem reaching for D-Lineman...guy's a tard IMO. Tyson Jackson at 3 was laughable from the moment the commish announced the pick not to mention taking a gimmick at 36 overall in McCluster last year.

Because he's smart enough to know that reaches don't matter. The only thing that matters is whether they turn into good players.

But Jackson does suck and so does McCluster.

Cassell was a terrible move that set the franchise back IMO as well. Guy is not for real and has a definite low ceiling. Pioli did what Mangini did in the Sanchez trade, fell in love with former players he had a hand in acquiring.

Pouha also started playing at 26-7. He is really young for his age.

I think overuse is overrated for non-RB's. Age is age, bodies break down and get duller even without regular impacts. Pouha is old.

Jets will be getting a stud no matter what.

There more i see this thing pan out, u might have to go BPA, and that BPA might be an OT, a RB or a WR (no, not Cobb).

However, you are going to have either a super stud DB, 5Tech, or LB fall.

Jets will score nice. Just be steady and DON'T reach Tannenbaum.

Don't reach? Who the **** cares? The only thing that matters is whether the player is a good player.

The way the board is falling, we are going to get a stud. bottomline. the point is, the way the board is breaking, we may get the #1 player we want (junction of need/BPA) -- but we may be faced with a choice of a real incredible value that we hadb't foreseen. Point is -- keep an open mind tanny.
