Round 4 and Beyond
Here are the guys I hope we look at going forward:
Front 7 4th Chris Carter OLB 4th Sam Ocho DE/OLB (really onlly if we envision him as an OLB) 5th Mark Herzlich DBs 4th-5th Bunkley 5-6th Demarcus Van Dyke - Could be a late steal from Miami.... Wrs 4th Tandon Doss - safer, good hands 4th Edmond Gates - speed guy, more raw Wouldnt mind seeing an OT in later rounds as a developmental player or even a QB (Tyler Yates, Devlin). Just do not want to go RB or any more DTs. |

What about a kicker with our 7th. Any good ones there. I don't trust folk still.
Chas Henry, P, Florida sees like a good punter. But i rather have a kicker. Jerrard Tarrant, FS, Georgia Tech any one think he would be any good? I want edmund gates 4th round |

i know it's a homers view, but i want 2 huskers with our last 4 picks (or however many we have left). eric hagg this next round, and alex henery later. i've discussed hagg already, and i believe he is our answer at safety.
but we need a freakin kicker. henery is that guy. he is good. REALLY good. automatic. great distance. the highest confidence. not shakable. and he doesn't have the dumb kicker routines. he doesn't have to do a certain list of things in order before he kicks a fg. he just goes out there, and just kicks the ball, and it goes through. |

Here's a look at the players left on Gil Brandt's Hot 100 after the first three rounds:
Note: Tiers are listed alphabetically Tier 5 Marcus Cannon, OL, TCU, 6-5, 358 Two-time All-Mountain West Conference selection. Must keep his weight down. He played tackle in college but might be best as a guard in the NFL. Ricky Stanzi, QB, Iowa, 6-4, 223 Ran a 4.89 40. Has started 35 games. Needs more upper-body strength but is athletic. Good high school basketball player in Ohio. Tier 6 Pernell McPhee (DL, Mississippi St.). Tier 7 James Brewer (OL, Indiana). Tier 8 Sam Acho (DL, Texas), Clint Boling (OL, Georgia), Kendall Hunter (RB, Oklahoma State), Da'Norris Searcy (DB, North Carolina), K.J. Wright (LB, Mississippi State). Tier 9 Jordan Cameron (TE, USC), Chris Carter (LB, Fresno State), Quinton Carter (DB, Oklahoma), Edmond Gates (WR, Abilene Christian), Brandon Hogan (DB, West Virginia). Tier 10 Tandon Doss (WR, Indiana), Ross Homan (LB, Ohio State), Casey Matthews (LB, Oregon), Colin McCarthy (LB, Miami), Jason Pinkston (OL, Pittsburgh), Luke Stocker (TE, Tennessee), Cedric Thornton (DL, Southern Arkansas). http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d...odule=Draft_CP |
