Although there is some hyperbole to your friends account, I have no doubt that it did happen some. Bruins fans, generally speaking, are - um - down and dirty. I used to work by the Boston TD Garden and there is a STARK difference between basketball fans and hockey fans. STARK. |

Rome is gone for the series.
You just don't do what he did. Player is defenseless. Blindside? Looks like it me. Heres the play so people can judge for themselves. Good views start at about 1:00 minute |

Maybe CanadaSteve is suggesting the hit itself caused Romes skates to leave the ice.

I never understood the American fans mocking the Canadian National Anthem at games. The majority of players for their own team are Canadian. And that's not something that only occurs at Bruins games. I've heard it countless times at Devils games and they are a pretty tame crowd compared to others across the league.

Keeping watching guys, and not in slow motion. He did not leave his feet before hitting Horton. The hit is late, but not dirty under rule 48. What gets Horton is the fall right on his head. Scott Stevens hit MANY a player harder than that.

Canucks look totally discombobulated right now. Home ice should help them turn things around. But if they start Game 5 flat, panic will set in pretty quickly.

With the Canucks can get the crap kicked out of them in consecutive road games, they are not worthy of hoisting the Cup. The Sedin twins being a combined -11 is ridiculous. Vancouver is playing small. Rome and Huimuis (sp) not being able to play is each their own fault. And the green men are ghey.

Being a Ranger fan since 8 years old, the first team I ever hated was the Bruins of Orr, Esposito, Sanderson, Bucyk, Hodge, Cheevers, etc, etc. Yet here I am pleased to see the Bruins beating down the Canucks, a team completely unworthy of respect. I am totally conflicted about this.

I'm a lowly Islanders fan.
I have no horse in this race, but I'm pullin for the Bruins. A couple of Bruins bounces and they would have been hoisting the Cup on Wednesday. A couple of Canucks bounces, and the score would have been 8-3 and 4-2, still losers. |

And yet, they unfortunately don't have a 'couple of bounces' columns in the statistics...only W and L. And right now the W's are more on the Canucks side

know it probably won't happen, but it would serve two purposes. First of all, Luongo seems to completely unravel when the he gives up a couple of goals. He did it in the Chicago series, and we've seen it happen even worse up in Boston. The Chowd-crowd has been merciless on him, which seems to add even more to his unraveling. Sitting out game 6 would also enable him to be fresh if the series does end up going back to Vancouver. He has played a ton of games this post season and, IMO, a rest would do him good. |
