Minion, you dare to question the breadth of my knowledge? My friend was a huge Chicago fan. I don't think he ever forgave me when I pointed out the riff similarities. And, yes, "25..." is a good song, albeit derivative.

Agreed. And Page ripped off the blues legends whom he idolized (he just set it to a more contemporary electric/rock beat.). That's rock 'n' roll. EVERYTHING is derivative of Chuck Berry, anyway.

reminds me the YouTube piece of Oscar Peterson playing Caravan. you hear about 3 ELP tunes in his solos......Keith Emerson always credits Peterson as a great influence.
