I have the CD. Everybody plays their a*s of on this CD. I think it will win a Grammy. Hard rock to blues rock on it. It really is one of the best album I've ever heard. Going to post another song in the "new music" thread that somebody just started.

Although Kenny Aronoff is taking over for Chad Smith just for purposes of the tour because Chad is on tour with RHCP (he has two new albums out with two different bands simultaneously). Kenny is one of the best drummers in the world too, much like Chad Smith, and was Chad's hand-picked replacement since they are good friends.

Saw them on the first tour for the first record and it was incredible.

I always thought Michael Anthony was a better singer than David Lee Roth....

Everybody is a better singer than DLR. Van Halen got rid of the only two people who could ever sing in that band (Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony). That's why the band is completely doomed and sucked in concert with DLR.

Read all the hype, but after a bunch of listenings, I just don't click with this band. I keep thinking Joe Bonamassa, one of my favorites, has been "miscast".

I have always liked Glenn Hughes as a bass player and, especially, vocalist. If you haven't already, check out his work in his funk/rock band, Trapeze, and on Deep Purple's Burn. Amazingly, Hughes outshines lead singer/frontman David Coverdale, who had replaced the legendary Ian Gillan. His vocals soar.
