Official 2011-12 NYI Thread

<crickets>

Anyone even know the season starts on Saturday? Anyone even know whos playing in net? Anyone know how long DP has left on his contract? Anyone know how long Snow has as GM? Anyone know when the Isles are moving?

what a frustrating game last night... I was excited to see this team, maybe that was my 1st mistake.... also nice to see the fans show up and support them.

Theodore was very good last night. Streit was definitely missed last year, he has a presence. I have hope. Things are still looking up.

Nice win today, need to muster some more shots on net and nice to see montoya in net again and not just going with the contract guy in net... i would have liked to see them play a little better over the last 40 minutes but a win is a win.

Didn't they manage only 5 shots in the final 40 minutes?

And I thought Montoya played real well at the end of last season. No reason why he shouldn't start now. Is DP even worthy of backup status?

Tavares with a 4 point night last night. Not too shabby. Hopefully some of the other guys can pick it up too.

Hat trick for Taveras tonight, good win over the Rangers. The top line looks pretty good so far this season!

I only got to see the thrid period. They looked good. When the Rangers got a little momentum, they squashed it and got the momentum back. A good solid period, IMO.

They NEVER win those two Florida road games. EVER. Maybe one, not two. I'm not even sure they have ever won both of those FLA road games.

Mark Streit makes a big difference. The first line is clicking on all cylinders. Need to get Grabner going again.

They are carrying 3 goaltenders because DP is injury prone. PLus DP has that ridiculously stupid long term contract. That's why no Al Montoya, who should be the number 1 .

This franchise has been teh suck for sooo long now, it's hard to really even give a crap. Same BS, different season.

I'll always be an Isles fan, but, man, I don't think I could care any less about this team right now. Not even wallowing in mediocrity. Wallowing in a semi-large pile of poo.
