The Stones thread

Damn wife went out wit the other wimmens and left me with a fridge full of beers...I hit em hard and decided to break out my Stones archive. This chit just ages like a fine wine....I remember slapping on the headphones and trying to get the backspins under control to this stuff 30 years ago

By the way, if you are interested, I have every Stones album, tons of ass kickin' bootleg CD's and DVD's from the 60's thru the 2000's.

Do you have the Brussels bootleg?

The only good song the Rolling Stones ever did:

Too bad the song sounds like crap live because they barely have any talent.

So much good music. For me Exile on Main Street is the Stones album I'd choose if I could only have one. Rocks Off, Sweet Virginia, Tumblin' Dice, All Down the Line, Rip this Joint, Lovin' Cup, Torn and Frayed...they made a country/western rock album that was better than any American band ever did. And it was recorded one summer at a chateau in France. Go figure.

EOMS is my fave Stones album. Sticky Fingers is 1A.

Let It Bleed and Beggars Banquet are right behind.

All great. And then there's Some Girls and Get Yer Yayas Out and Satanic Majesty's Request and Aftermath and Goat's Head Soup and Black and Blue and a whole bunch more. An amazing body of work.

I think maybe your Shotty hate is really self-loathing.

I saw Mick Taylor at the Iridium in the city last month and he was great.

Friday night I went to see Charlie Watts there too. Great Boogie Woogie music. Sat right in front of the stage.
