Bears OC Mike Martz is not expected to return to Chicago in 2012 after contract expires at the end of season. Colleges could be in play.

figure he wouldnt leave for another oc job..just a thought though..

I would love to have Martz but the egos of Martz and Rex wouldn't work well together.

Hire Martz and the Jets might as well just cut Keller. We need a balanced OC, that's not Martz's style.

+1000

if people think Sanchez is getting beaten up now can you imagine what would happen to him in Martz's scheme?

I'm gonna say no.Keller will be gone and although he has made some nice adjustments since the Detroit game,I don't think Sanchez will make strides under Martz

That being said Rex needs to move on from his "run the ball play field position play good defense" mentality. That doesn't work anymore in the NFL

With Offenses in the league moving towards multiple TE sets with pass catching TE's Martz will have to adjust his thinking or he will never have another OC job in the NFL.

Mike Martz doesn't help you when Shonn Greene can't catch and your head coach wants to run the ball.

Mike Martz is an offensive genius. One of the best at getting his receivers open, and making his RBs productive, and making his QBs look like fire. He is a perfect fit on the bears.

Unfortunately, he cares nothing of what goes on in the trenches (including the TE position).

Can't have that on our team...

Talk about opposite philosophies about how to run an offense. Rex and Martz are at the complete opposite end of the spectrum.

No, NO, and NO to Martz.

Dunno if he'd be good for the team.

I'd like it...since my bosses wife is related to his family. Probably get some good tickets.

Lol, actually they're actually very similar, but they scheme on opposite sides of the ball.

Mangini and Rex are polar opposites. Mangini was read and react, Rex was attack.

Rex and Martz both employ attacking schemes designed to take advantage of the opponent's weakness or lack of comfort. They both have great coach-em-up ability and have excellent motivation prowess.

Again, that being said, Martz doesn't care about the trenches, and that's a HUGE no no.
