He had nothing left in his tank because he went to Kansas City and ran behind the same line Jamal Charles ran for 1500 yards last year?

Maybe I misunderstood what you meant, but Kansas City's line isn't the reason for Thomas Jones downfall.

Two yard TJ? Really?

When he was with us the line was MUCH better at run blocking. He was solid but nothing more than that. His consistency was his real strength. Didn't break many tackles, save for the occasional stiff arm highlight.

Greene would've KILLED with that '08 line. Same with LT. TJ had a great year in '09 but fell off towards the end. Moving forward, it was absolutely the right decision to go with LT. LT actually did really well in '10. Anyone remember that nasty juke he put on the Bills? Oh my god that was ridiculous. You'd think he was 23 years old again.

The Jets wore him out with 3 1000 yard seasons I guess.

TJ had a 4 year $20MM contract.

That's $5MM a year.

He got $16.3 MILLION his first 2 years.

His third year was for $900K and his 4th was for $2.8MM.

So in his 3rd year what did he do?

He whined that all he was making was $900k and was underpaid and that he was the lowest paid starting running back in the league and he was making less than Jets 3rd stringers.

HEY CLASS ACT--YOU MADE OVER $8 MILLION A YEAR FOR THE FIRST TWO YOU POS!!

YOu MADE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Classy.

Jones couldn't produce when our O line was good, this latest iteration would give him fits, and he was pathetic in the playoff game in Indy

2009 season final year of his contract. He rushed for 1402 yards 4.2 avg per carry 14 TDs longest run from scrimmage 71 yards. There isnt a RB on this roster who will touch that. READ IT AND WEEP.

Jones was awesome for us. But Sanchez is/was the priority and Tomlinson is/was one of the best pass catching RB's ever, so pretty clear why the Jets went the direction they did.

Thomas Jones took the money and ran to K.C as Braylon did to S.F. In both instances the Jets failed to negotiate in good faith. Hows that working out for us?

I honestly don't understand what your post means, sorry We paid those two, they produced, then the Jets moved on. Neither did anything with their new teams.

The Jets paid LT the same money we could have retained TJ for.

We went the cheap route on Braylon and he left. We miss him more than he misses us.

Joe Namath did nothing with the Rams but won a Super Bowl here.

Well I don't think money was a factor, they just didn't want either player back.
