Who knows if Turner would want to be an oc again? Maybe he'll try and do a tv gig, take time off, get a cushy college job.
Norv has coached every year since 1975. Every time he gets fired, or isn't re-signed, he immediately takes another job. |

Norv is one of those guys that's a better coordinator than head coach. Much like that other Charger failure Wade.
Some guys are just better suited to certain roles. That's why you don't see certain guys come up for head coach even though they're great at their position...they know what they're good at. Lebeau, Scarnecchia, Moore, etc.... some guys realize it and stick with what they do...some guys keep trying at something they aren't good at. It becomes an ambition thing. |

Norv would be the biggest upgrade this offense has had in decades. Think back to all the loser OCs we have had. A super bowl winning OC who likes to run the ball and take shots down the field. It would be glorious.

I would love to have Norv, but if it isn't him, please please, hire someone person who isn't one of Rex's boys and is from outside the Jets family.
If this happened and we didn't witness a SIGNIFICANT upgrade in Sanchez's performance I would then be willing to move on from him.
And the threads will appear: "Maybe it wasn't Shotty after all..."
Shoddy! baby please just go!
Hopefully Shoddy missed the plane to Miami.
Who knows if Turner would want to be an oc again? Maybe he'll try and do a tv gig, take time off, get a cushy college job.
Norv has a face for radio. |

Just said on ESPN Countdown, Jets are looking to revamp the offensive coaching staff and also threw in Josh McDaniels if available.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Norv Turner is expected to be among the Jets' top offensive coordinator targets this offseason.
It's no secret by now that Brian Schottenheimer is likely to be the scapegoat for the Jets' 2011 offensive regression. We can't think of a better fit for the Jets than Turner. His system is similar to Schottenheimer's, particularly in terminology, so Mark Sanchez wouldn't need to "learn a new offense." Turner also has an impressive track record working with young quarterbacks, from Philip Rivers on down to Alex Smith. Turner is expected to become a coaching free agent when the Chargers fire him, likely on Monday. |

Good thing he has zero personality and a face that make HD TVs cringe. He's not going on TV anywhere. |
