From 2011 it was Vonn Miller. I thought he was going to be a bust for sure.

I bought into the Dustin Keller as an pro bowler fantasy and now when I look at the two guys in New England and the guy in New Orleans I get sad.

Here is another for me Ikaika Alama-Francis. I wanted the Jets to draft him badly in his draft year. He bounced from Det to Miami and hasn't done much.
(He is a FA this year though...Jets are you listening! Sign the beast for short money!) |

Not sure I said it but JPP. What a huge swing and a miss there...Weird how I liked Gholston, who had the movement skills of a tree, but guessed wrong on someone who moves as easily as Pierre-Paul does. I think I learned something about athleticism with those two, maybe.

I think my biggest whiff was Johnny Mitchell. I though he was going to shred defenses. Also, even though he had good career and was not a bust I really though Marvin "Shade Tree" Jones was going to be monster.

Robert Gallery.
I thought he'd be a HOF caliber LT. Had all the tools and was as dominant in college as it gets. He's turned into a serviceable NFL Guard, but no where near the level that I'd thought he'd be. |

Courtney Brown, who went to the Browns. I thought he was a stud, was going to be a pass rusher you could build a team around. |

I thought Browning Nagle would be a franchise QB.

My two QB misses were Casey Weldon and Todd Marinovich...
Weldon got drafted in the 4th round and never did anything. When you watched him play in college he hung in the pocket great and really delivered the ball well. Marinovich was can't miss as far as I was concerned. I even thought he played well while with the Raiders. I was dead wrong on both! |
