Australian Open Final

That was fairly epic on a lot of levels. Not a huge tennis fan but the levels mens tennis has reached in recent years is insane. Nadal and Djoker absolute sickos - actually dwarfing the talent of possibly the best player to ever play the game in Fed-Ex.

6 hours of brilliant sport. Awesome.

Holy $hit what a match. That was the greatest tennis match I have ever seen. They played for 6 hours, that is phuckin crazy. Nadal and Joker are both freaks of nature. Unbelievable heart.

Joker played for 5&1/2 hours against Andy Murray. I was for Murray.
Then 6 more. That dude will sleep for a week.
Can't wait to talk lime this about an American tennis player.

I'm watching the replay right now. Still don't know who won, but this is incredible. 1-0 Nadal in the 5th set right now.

Is this a better grand slam final than the epic '08 Wimbledon?? It's shaping up to be. Wow.

Djokovic is an ANIMAL. My God.

Best grand slam final I've ever seen.

No one else watched this? :O Granted, I don't blame you if you didn't see the whole thing, but it was incredible.

Maybe the best 3 matches to end a grand slam (both semis and the final). Didn't have the same level of excellence throughout the match as the 08 Wimbledon final (Nadal/Federer), but ranks up there as one of the all time great matches.

Djokovic has shown how to use patience as a tactic for defeating Nadal, something Federer cannot (will not?) do.

How hard was it watching the post-match ceremonies? Both players stretching and bending over in pain as the Kia chairman went on and on and on. Kudos to whatever tournament official noticed this and dispatched chairs for both players.

I forgot that I have the 5th set at 1-1 on the DVR. I recorded the Midnight broadcast; half hour of warm ups and blather; 3 hours of...2 sets???

So I luckily caught the 5th set; going to actually watch it now. No one has mentioned the match or outcome to me today. Weird.

Missed it completely.

Compared to the Wimbledon Nadal/Federer Final?

I made the mistake of turning on Sportscenter first thing in the morning (PST), and they led with the Australian Open. Unfortunately, I can't watch when I know the outcome :(
