If Braylon is not healthy is Plax our best option?
Braylon is coming off two injuries and who knows if he can even be close to the Braylon of 2009,with that being said we used a 3rd or 4th rd pick on wide receiver(hope to catch lightening in a bottle) and re-sign Plax. Remember Vicks first year back he looked old and washed up,it took until the second year to get back up to speed, with that being said Plax still caught 45 balls for 612 and 8 tds. Plax is a tall target for Tebow who is smart enough to break off blocking a defender and getting a step on him while Tebow is running around. Also we would be extremely had to defend in the red zone with both Tebow and Plax

Plax does not want to be here...I'd rather draft a young WR as opposed to Plax

Hard to argue with our red zone efficiency last year, and that had a lot to do with Plax. If Bray isn't coming back, I wouldn't be against it.
Besides if our backup QB ever gets in the game, having a receiver with a large wingspan will come in handy. Dude isn't exactly the most accurate passer. |

Neither, please. Draft a WR in any of the first 3 rounds.

No, there is NO CHANCE the Jets bring back Burress. I think they are going to address WR early in the draft. There is good talent at WR and they can land a quality #2 WR.

No interest in Plax, the Jets are better off adding no one rather than Burress. He can't play

Problem is the NYJETS need a real #1 WR. |

I'm closer to a #1 receiver than Burress and I'm 58 years old. 5' 11'. 175lbs, 4.65 forty. I'm faster than Plax. I can play safety also. I'm faster than Smith. I'm a team player and I'd willing to take a 1 year deal at 2 million per. What's Mike T's number?

I think the Jets would be willing to have him back but I do not think he would come back unless they grossly overpaid.
Only FAs I want back from last year's team in LT and Leonhard. Neither of which is likely coming back and the Jets will miss both of them dearly. |

I'd rather play with ten guys than bring Plaxico Burress back.

Plax? Are you serious? Let's list the reason's why he should never be a Jet again.
1: He sucks 2: He's lazy 3: He doesn't even care about the Jets 4: **** him, that's why. |

i don't think Plaxico wants to come back. I think we are his last resort if he comes back to us. He has stated he wants to go to Philly and also said he would return to Giants. Don't think Giants would take him though.

2 Things
Rex has clearly expressed the need for the WRs to streeeetch the field. He says that was a big problem last year. Plax can not do this at all. I think its pretty clear at this point that Plax was one of the bad eggs in the locker room. He was never considered a good locker room guy before hand and now after last season he still isnt. No way we bring this cancer back. We dont need him and Holmes feeding off each other. |

No. BE, Plax, Moss, TO, and Ward are not real options for us. Plax was a PR move to jump on the Mike Vick fan club he was never supposed to start IMO. Cotch asking out just left us in an odd position. We drafted 2 WRs and lost 4 so the math really did not add up. With the signing of Chaz I think we are out of the FA WR market. Chaz when healthy is exactly what we needed in a WR. Maybe not a stud but will put up average #s. Holmes is better then any of those guys and the coaching staff like Turner a lot. I think it is draft to improve or go with the talent you have which is not bad. I like Kerley and think he'll be pretty good but yeah if we can get Sanu in the 2nd sign me up he will be a stud IMO. Or even Quick in the 3rd who I think will be great value. This is a pretty good draft to just add anther WR option. We will likely only carry 5 WR and have 4 already so signing a aging end of career guy just isn't on the board anymore IMO.

He virtually announced he was going to Philly. You'd think he'd had some discussions or committment before saying that publicly.
But then again it would be the first time he shot himself in an extremity. |
