Since we're all in a snit over good luck / bad luck, here's my proposal: post some examples of ACTUAL bad luck on the Jets over the years. For example, mine would be:
2nd and 24, January '87, and the closest Jet defender to Kosar just had to be that roided up d!ck-tard Gastineau who did what he did. If only fate had placed a more reliable, disciplined Jet in that position instead :( |

I wouldn't assume that, the Jets beat Denver 22-10 in the regular season that year. |

A fumble recovery there, would have changed the game around, and a possible trip to the SB. Even if we beat the Browns in 87, there was no way we were beating Denver the next week with all the injuries we had late in the 86 season. I always loved Bruce Harper, but that fumble against the Bills I will never forget. The 1981 team would have won the SB. |

Amazing that a guy who's career should have been HOF worthy contains so many boneheaded moments and decisions. |
Most successful people do not believe in luck.....that's all I am saying.
First, that has nothing to do with the FACT that luck plays a role in sports, sometimes a lot bigger than others. Second, get over yourself. For every argument or piece of evidence you offer about those who believe in luck, or don't, I can offer to the contrary, it's a debate neither of us can substantiate. |
I am working for a living.... forgive me.
Those without success typically point to LUCK on those with success. SAD but TRUE. Because absent luck, it is their ineptness that is revealed and must be reckoned with. 4 SBs to NONE. Yeah...its all luck.
Mad respect, but you kinda sound like SAR, maybe less then him. |
