Won't even make a series prediction, but Knicks need to steal one of the first two in Miami and come back to an absolutely electric Garden, trying to will them to victory.

F'n pumped.

Two huge keys IMO
1. Our bench has to outplay theirs on a constant basis
2. baron Davis has to play like a vet experienced point guard and outplay chalmers.

The rest factor will be huge for us

Turnovers and defense. Amare has to dominate Bosh.

If Wade isn't healthy it could be very interesting.

Apparently Chandler has the flu and could possibly miss game 1.

New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler is battling the flu and could miss Game 1 of the team's playoff series against the Miami Heat on Saturday.

Interim coach Mike Woodson told reporters in Miami there is a "strong possibility" the defensive stopper won't play.

"Yesterday, he basically slept and didn't eat much and tried to keep as much fluids in him as possible," Woodson said. "We'll know more tomorrow."

If Chandler isn't available, Woodson said Jared Jeffries, who is battling a nagging knee injury, may start in his place. Another option would be going with a small lineup, the coach said.

Chandler has been battling a sore knee and a left wrist injury for several weeks and sat out the team's regular-season finale on Thursday to rest. He did not practice on Friday and was seen wearing a surgical mask to prevent the spread of germs, Amare Stoudemire said.

Carmelo Anthony said he expects Chandler to play.

"He's a little ill, but he'll be with me tomorrow. We don't really care about today. As long as he's with me tomorrow, we'll be fine," Anthony said.

Chandler, who won an NBA title with the Dallas Mavericks last season and came to New York in an offseason sign-and-trade deal, is a pivotal piece for the Knicks. He has helped transform New York's defense from a mediocre unit to one of the top five in the NBA.

Woodson said that Chandler will be re-evaluated prior to Saturday's 3:30 p.m. ET tipoff.

If the Knicks win today it will be their first playoff win in 11 years. Wow.

If the Knicks can keep it close for 4 quarters they can win. I trust Melo over Lebron in a big spot in the closing seconds. Problem is the referees will give Lebron and co. the Michael Jordan treatment. Get ready for the sh*tcalls against Shumpert and JR Smith.

Lol. You read this thread and its as if the Knicks would have had a chance if not for the refs bad calls. It's playoffs. Heat get the calls at home. Knicks will get their calls at the Garden. Bottom line is Heat are just a much better team.

As someone who witnessed, as a youngin, Willis Reed emerge from the tunnel in 1970, I can definitively say that one of the reasons I am not as big an NBA fan today is due in large part to the uneven, inconsistent, power trip refs that permeate the league.
