This is probably old news for you guys since they were aired by ESPN a few years back, but I stumbled on the 30 for 30 series (30 sports documentaries by 30 different directors) on You Tube and they’re really well done.

The Fab Five – Documentary on Michigan’s Fab Five and the infamous TO by Webber
The Pony Excess – Documentary on the SMU football booster scandal
Once Brothers – Really good one on Vlade Divac and Drazen Petrovic’s friendship being torn apart by the war in Yugoslavia
The Birth of Big Air – Story of Matt Hoffman blasting 20’ airs on a bike being towed in by a motorcycle in the late 80’s
…

Yep, really excellent series. I read recently that ESPN is bringing it back for a whole new round of 30 films.

The USFL one was good, made Trump look like a jerk.

The Raiders one wasn't so great, looking at an old Al Davis is not enjoyable.

I saw that one and agree. Ice Cube doing a piece on the rise of gangsta rap and it's link to the Raiders lore was blah...

Agreed, though Trump did most of the work himself. The scene where the producer/director tries to show him the $1 judgment from the NFL lawsuit was classic.

The one I haven't seen yet is the one about the day in June 94 that the Rangers parade, the Knicks NBA finals game, and the OJ-in-the-white bronco all happened

Arnold Palmer's last round in US Open at Oakmont and the opening ceremonies/game for the World Cup in the USA.

This was the best in my opinion. No narration at all, just clips with the actual live commentary from the beginning of the day through the end. Absolutely great!

Some great documentaries. Some interesting topics, didnt think I would, but got hooked in about the nascar guy that contracted aids.

It was an excellent concept and almost all of them, when not "good" documentaries, were at least entertaining.

But for me, the best one they produced - by far - was the Albert Maysel's film on Muhamad Ali and Larry Holmes. It was brilliant. The inter splicing of the "lost" footage from 1980 with the current interviews was amazing.

That one was very good.

My 2 fav's were The "u" since i'm a huge Canes fan,and the one on Pablo Escobar and his connection to Columbian soccer
