I could definitely see the first two, but I can't see Eric Smith being cut... team leader, good on specials, knows the system (more than any other safety since Leonhard isn't here), etc. As much as we'd want to see it, it ain't happening.

Agree with Conner. Scott is going nowhere after dropping weight, and Schillens is safe until he inevitably gets injured again.

Unfortunately, Smith is safe too. The coaching staff loves him, sadly.

Mauga wouldn't surprise me, especially if Bellore steps up.

No way. Think about it - Landry is a toss up to even get on the field, let alone start. Bell is 34. And other then them, we have late round rookies and udfas.

Besides Sanchez, Smith is the guy who gets the most unnecessary hate. Did he have a great season last year? No, but it seems like a majority of our players had a bad year. I don't want him to be a starter because he's basically a JAG, but sometimes that's the best you can get.

I don't think so. Not the past 2 years at least, too frail. But I did read when the Jets signed him they said if he's healthy, they are going to see where he fits best, including special teams.

Brandon Moore is mine. I think his play has gone down ( supposedly callahan wanted to replace him in lineup) and isn't exactly the type of guard sparano likes on his oline. (look at the guards he has had)

Supposedly Powell has great hands out of the backfield. The dude that used to run the Texans, that picked Mario Williams (can't think of his name) called him the best 4th round pick in that draft?
