What the **** is with this Nazi re-enactment on ESPN? Pretty intense.

The irony is not lost on me that Michael Ballack's accent makes him sound like a Nazi caricature.

Spain v. Italy has been the best match so far. Very strong players on both sides. Iniesta was the best of all of them. The Russians were very impressive. I am looking forward to seeing them against better opponents. The Germans are exactly what I've come to expect. The Dutch dug themselves a hole but can certainly rebound. Portugal has something missing but I can't place my finger on it. They have quality but lack a cohesiveness. Perhaps the system or team chemistry?

Gave another away late. They need to stop getting so deep in and clear better. Gonna be a tough half.

Good game by italy. I was surprised at how they played. I was expecting a lock down in Italy's half but they came to play.
