Hats off to the Italians, Pirlo in particular, IMHO they outplayed spain and if anyone deserved the match it was the italians. Much better than expected. And the referee just flat out sucked donkey balls, he was lucky there wasn't really any controcersial positions in the match.

The irish were just **** out of luck those second and third goals were both lucky and it was a definite penalty on Robbie Keane with 15 minutes to go, if that goes in the Croats panic and maybe the lepracons get a point but hey.

Gotta be careful. In my experience, only about half my Italian pals can take ethnic ribbing. Very sensitive.

I think I was too bullish on France in the JI pool.

The last time someone overestimated France's fighting spirit like this was all of the Western Allies around 193.... ahh, you get the point.
