Tea Party "Joke"

I was always told the Tea Party was about taxes, and nothing else. That's why I find this joke told by Arkansas Tea Party Board Member Inge Marler a little strange. I'm wondering why she made the lazy good for nothing character in her joke black?

Honestly, I am looking for a reason she would tell this "joke."

No, I think you're simply saying "Tea Party = Racist"

Same as "Against Obama = Racist"

And "Defend Zimmerman = Racist"

And "Against Free Health Care = Racist, Sexist, Bigot, Homophone...."

And "Against Free Birth Control = War on Women Sexist Bigot"

And "Against Welfare and Socialism - Racist Hateful Bigot Who Doesn't Like Women but is too Evil to be Gay"

And on....

And on....

And on....

We get it mate. Libs think the Tea Party is a racist KKK'ian organization that only exists to do racisty racist things against the greatest President in American History (a quote, from a Liberal Radio Host on Sirius, I should mention) purely because he's Black. Or a Woman. Or Gay. I get mixed up which we supposedly hate more.....

TLDR: Tell us FF, why do YOU think she made the whatever a black person in her joke? Since you've raised the issue.

Arkansas Tea Party Board Member? So a room filled with 20 or 30 locals in Arkansas laughed at an off color joke and it made the news? Last month we had a Union President South Carolina beating a pinata with a photo of Governor Nikki Haley (a minority) on it. Should she be arrested for a hate crime? The TEA Party is not a centralized organization. I can say I am the President and CEO of the New City Jewish TEA Party Association. The membership is one. Me. Now whatever I do is associated with "The President of the TEA Party of New City".

The heart of the TEA Party is about one thing. Recognition that we are headed off a fiscal cliff. We have a party in power trying to emulate a European model of government that is crumbling before our very eyes. Why would anyone want to emulate a model of failure? It is crazy.

There are some in this country that try the same things over and over again and expect something different to happen.
Same as "Liberal = Communist"
You may want to look at your policies then, because your pants-pissing fear over being accurately described as "Social Welfare Statist" or "collectivist" does not in any way change the accuracy of calling, for example, SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE a socialist/collectivist based political ideal.
And "For Universal Health care = socialist"
You know another word for Universal is "Socialized" right?

That the trouble, Liberals in general want policies that undoubtedly more socialist, more collectivist, more bnased of State Power and Authority.....but piss themselves in consternation if their opponents actually use accurate terminology to describe those policies.

Whereas you'll be very hard pressed to find policies I support that are "Racist" in ANY real form. Denying welfare is not racist. Denying Universal healthcare is not sexist.

No, thats not what I'm saying at all, and your over the top hyperbole doesn't help the discussion.

And I'm not really sure why she did it. She could have made a point without it. No?

Some good advice I got years ago was that bad aesthetics is bad management. In other words, if it looks or sounds bad, it probably is. And this sounds awful. The comments are not only racist, but the overall tone reeks of contempt. Regardless of how decentralized Tea Party folks think they are, this woman associates with them and her comments reinforce the stereotype that Tea Party conservatives are racists.

At any rate, the easiest thing to do is to replace her with another person who has more sense about themselves. It sends a message that such behavior will not be tolerated by Tea Party folks and conservatives. No real leader would be caught dead making such comments. I have family and friends that are conservative and they wouldn’t be caught dead making such comments.

Thanks for a reasoned response that neither attacks me personally or goes off on an Obama rant.

Your trolling for ~6 years rarely helped discussion either FF.

In this case, I simply don't take you at your word. I think you're being VERY clear in what YOU think the reason was as to why she made the joke the way she made it, and in what that means to you as a greater representation of the Tea Party as a whole.

So again, stop asking us, and YOU TELL US why you think she made the joke that way. You know as much about her as any of us do, which is nothing I'd guess, and certainly noy enough to know her views on race. So make a point if you have a point.

Better yet, why SHOULDN'T the example be a black person. What kind of racist automaticly assumes that "jokes" or even examples that include Black People are automaticly possible-racism-in-action? What kind of person automaticly assumes that jokes or examples must NOT include Black People? Since this seems to be your position, please explain to us why the joke/example/whatever should NOT use a Black Person.

Progressives throughout American history have been responsible for much of whatever improvement there has been in the lot of the poor/disenfranchised/minorities. That is not to say that everything has worked or that I agree with all the policies because I don't. But its better then doing nothing and pretending that by doing nothing, things will eventually get better

Honestly I can't understand how anyone can be a Democrat or why this guy would say things like this.

New York City councilman Charles Barron may be on his way to winning the Democratic nomination for Congress in New York’s Eighth District, despite a history of racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-Israel rhetoric. Barron, who has earned the support of retiring congressman Edolphus Towns, would be representing a district with a sizable Jewish population.

In 2010, he told a reporter that in New York’s Crown Heights neighborhood, Jews “only make up 20 percent of the population, but they’ve always walked these streets as if they owned them, and acted as if they are the only ones in the community that matter.”

Barron once referred to a fellow city councilman, who is Jewish, as a “coward” whose actions on the council were to “satisfy the Jewish lobby.”

Barron has also called into question the legitimate existence of Israel. “Where should we start [the discussion]?” he said at a Brooklyn church in 2010. “Should we start with the 1906 Zionist Convention, or in 1914, with the Balfour Declaration? With Menachem Begin, the terrorists, all the wars, you want to discuss Israel becoming a state in 1948 when it should not have? Who are the terrorists? You want to talk about the definition of terrorism? How do you define acts of piracy?

The comments of one, and the approving reaction of the people attending. I appreciate a number of the TEA Party policy points, but that was absolutely nauseating.
