um hill is a totally different player, right now he's just a vertical threat. harvin is a 100+ catches receiver who can also stretch the field of course but right now he's a young steve smith. stephen hill however is more of a desean jackson at this point. a much bigger version. so if we add harvin which i doubt because the vikings just wont give him up, then it's a message to santonio holmes. he's gonna get cut anyway if he doesnt pick it up this year

Holmes seems very motivated in camp and after he wins games for us no one will remember this pointless clamour for Harvin. |

I agree
Tebow for Harvin straight up with Vikings paying any difference in salary To sweeten the deal the Jets can throw in ALL the Te-bonehead praying mantises currently claiming to be Jet "fans" Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2 |

How can you say that, especially when considering the fact that Percy Harvin has only missed 3 games during his entire 3 year career. He's also coming off a season in which he played all 16 games for the Vikings.

The migraine thing is a huge issue for me and I doubt the Vikings give in like that and just give him away for a 5th. I think they'll take a 3rd for him. You can't trade a player plus a 3rd for that guy, no way. A 3rd should cut it if they are even interested in moving him. Not sure why they'd trade their most explosive receiver just like that. |

This is the NFL. You need at least two good receivers to make your offense go. |

Enough with the Tebow crap. Get real for a change. He is a Jet. Real fans root for their team and its players. If he gets traded in the future then we all root against him. but this nonsense is getting very boring and childish!

You must not have gotten the memo -- sg3 has final say about who "real" Jets fans can/cannot root for . . .

First off, it's recently been reported that he is not seeking a trade.
Secondly, the Jets shouldn't be willing to give up on Jeremy Kerley (and a high draft pick) for Percy Harvin, who can't stay on the field. Yes, he's only missed three games in the last three years, but many games he leaves the field early on, never to return, or plays sparingly. He's only played in 60% of Minnesota's snaps in three years. Thirdly, if Harvin was brought in, not that it would bother me but it would many of you and others, it would be thought of as a move to appease and help the transition from Mark Sanchez to Tim Tebow as the franchise quarterback. Harvin and Tebow had outstanding chemistry at Florida. Fourthly, the Jets already have their high priced receiver in Santiono Holmes. Dustin Keller's contract is expiring, as is Brandon Moore, Matt Slauson and Shonn Greene's and that's just on offense. Harvin is going to look for around $7-8 million a year. It isn't happening. Save your time. |

and im aware this is the NFL and the Jets have stated they are high on Hill...I'm all for acquiring Harvin but fact is, if the Jets do that they are backpedaling and saying Hill isn't our guy...Would I take that with acquiring Harvin? Absolutely. is there any chance the jets acquire harvin without way overpaying? absolutely not...so this whole discussion is kind of moot anyway bc its not going to happen. |

I'm not rooting for the Te-boneheads who have arrived since 321 with their eyes gleaming in the delusion that their Timmy is an NFL QB who should replace Mark Sanchez. I think Tebow understands his role with the Jets but I'm pretty certain that his claque of prayerful zealots DO NOT |

![]() Please stop, this would be an absolute awful idea and trade. And, the Jets aren't moving Holmes, despite the media frenzy and made up controversy, and fan panic, Holmes is a committed player who wants to win, and I'm convinced the problems last year was because of that competitiveness. He's got to be a better leader, but I think much more was made of the issues than needs to be concerned about. Harvin, however, for a draft pick, a 2nd rounder, maybe a 3rd and a player, would be an awesome addition to the team, he can fill multiple roles at WR with Holmes, and can even perform in a role out of the backfield at RB. The potential of Harvin in the backfield with Tebow running the wildcat, with Holmes and Hill outside is extremely enticing to think about... Last edited by Ray Ray19; 06-20-2012 at 11:51 PM. |

He is the #2 qb if/until Mark Sanchez starts throwing the pick 6 ers. Believe it or not, im hoping Mark has a stellar season this year. I am a Jets fan. Tebows roll is defined, you just may not like the possibilities of the definition. |

What's wrong with having 2 great receivers (presuming that Hill becomes great) ? Or if we kept Santonio, even having 3 great receivers ? Hill #1, Homes as the #2, Harvin as the #3 (numbers here indicate WR "position", not how often they are targeted). |
