My sense is that with a 10 year $1.7 trillion health care insurance [B]TAX[/B] about to strangle us all, we're headed to the bottom pretty fast and likely we'll stay there a long time.

Meaning they were voted out of office in large numbers. They were voted out of office by voters primarily angry at Obamacare. So if Obamacare plays prominently in the Presidential election in November, more Democrats will be voted out of office so we can rid ourselves of this Godzilla-like government destruction called Obamacare. And we won't have to sink so low for so long after all.
