So Ryan Fitzpatrick get a pass for tanking the second half of the season and Sanchez, whose proven he can take a team from behind and win and play well in the playoffs sucks......got it! Go spew your agenda elsewhere.....
Those playoff games were 2 friggn' years ago and mean nothing today.

Even though Fitz sucked over the last half of the season, Sanchez sucked even more, especially in the final 3 games of the season with the playoffs on the line.

Where were all those "come from behind victories" when the Jets needed it the most?
Actually, Fitz played very well for the entire first half of the season last year.

He just fell off the Earth during the 2nd half of the season.

Be interesting to see which QB the Bills get in 2012.
Began the week after he signed the $59M extension.

Maybe the OL decided to make him earn it.

Fitz allegedly had his ribs cracked in week 8 against the Redskins. That would account for his second half drop off.

LBs Fletcher and Orakpo blew past RG Chad Rinehart and paved Fitzpatrick on a pass play.

After that BUF lost 7 straight.
Some quarterbacks — and people — thrive under pressure. So far in his still young career, Sanchez has proven he’s not one of those quarterbacks.
... couldn't disagree more strongly with this statement ...

... sanchez has been very up and down and there are plenty of things we'd like to see him do better ... but picking his game up when the pressure goes up is what i believe to be his greatest asset ...

When catcher Tom Brady has faced the kind of pressure Sanchez saw all year last season he folds like a house of cards. You know what they say about people in glass houses and stones don't you??????

Your act is old and tiring...why don't you go bother someone on a Fins board for a while and give us a break as long as none of the mods here have the guts to give you the banning you so richly deserve...............

Not really, he played well the first 3 games with 9 TDS and 3 INT.....

The next 5 games he threw for 6 TDS and 6 INT, i do not see that as playing "very"well and of course completely **** the bed the last 8 games....

Ended up with 24 TDS and 23 INT....

Objectively...if you were to start a franchise, Brady is choice 1. I bet that fans across the country are evenly split between Fitzgerald and Sanchez assuming only 3 candidates at QB.

Mark must play better. he has the skills, he needs to step up and I love Sanchez but I lve my children too. they aren't playing.

So do any Superbowl victories the Patriots may have finagled years ago.

Brady can go through his 4 progressions reads in about 3 seconds.

After 3 seconds, Sanchez is still locked onto his primarary receiver praying to God he gets open.

You see the difference there?

You know what's funny about this is that Sanchez has one of the most (if not the most) come from behind wins/final drive wins in the last 3 years than any other QB in the NFL. Sanchez is erratic in the first 3 quarters of play - in most games, but he has this uncanny ability to score something prior to the end of each half of football.

He's by no means an elite QB, but whoever thinks that he doesn't thrive under pressure has not watched him over his brief 3 year career. He has 11 come from behind/final drive wins in his 3 year career. In comparison to someone like Tom Brady, a HOF shoe-in, who has 35 of those in his 12 year career (say 10 years for the two years he didn't play - one he sat on the bench, the other via injury).

Sanchez 3 years, 11 victories
Brady 10 years, 35 victories

The percentage there paints a clearer picture. What percent of his total wins, were Brady's 35%? Much less than Sanchez's 11 to his total wins.

Accuracy, decisions and turnovers have been Sanchez's problems over the years, but to question his ability to step up when things are on the line are being based on his last 3 games where the entire team imploded is just a writer who reads the box scores.

Why don't we just make Brady a Superbowl choker since he lost his last 2 to the same team? We all know he's not, but the front-running media can't call things fairly.

Not true. After 3 seconds Sanchez is laying on the ground looking at Wayne Hunter.

Actually, Brady is an average QB when he has consistent pressure put on him.

When he has time to go through his progressions, he's the HOF QB that is unlike anyone (except maybe Montana, IMO).

But tough Brady is not.

Not even close.

90% of Jets fans have already done that.

We all know he's not. You're just falling for the same schtick you deal out.

He DID lose 2 in a row. How does that make you feel? :D:P

Depends on the type of pressure.

When teams start doing stunt blitzes, pressure from the outside, CB and satety blitzes, Brady eats them alive.

There is no QB in the NFL that steps up into the pocket and slides better than Brady.

With that said, Brady is toast if the pressure comes from directly up the middle (like the Giants were able to do the last 2 Super Bowls). Brady has absolutely no mobility in the pocket if he can not step up.

Enter Quenton Coples. Which is what he does best.

Rex knows where his deficiencies lie. He may be a fat, arrogant, loud mouth, but he knows football. At least we're going to try.

Why do you think the Jets have been experimenting with the 4-3 so much during OTA's and mini-camp?

Every sports writer in the country better offer an apology when the Bills win 6-8 games this year.

Never have I seen such fabricated hype for a team that hasn't had a winning record in a decade.

Gotta stop the Pats. Can't pretend to finish second, make the wildcard and win 3 games on the road. Just can't.

If Coples pans out, the Jets will improve tremendously. One elite player makes everyone else around them better.

Honestly, I'm expecting the defense to be way better this coming year than recent years. They seem focused, as does Rex (crazy, right)?

It seems like they're doing the things they need to do.
