This guy is pathetic. Seems like he went out of his way to create this situation and touch up on his gun laws so he could 'show up' a cop.

I'm not the fondest of cops, but i also understand that overall, theyre just doing their job. This kid seems like a grade A dooshbag. That is definitely a crime I suspect him of.

If that is so, what does that say about the LEO's who returned his legal firearm to him?

In that case, it should be easy enough for you to point out some specific errors, yes?

What would the cop gain by arguing with the idiot?

FYI this occurred in Portland Maine.

LOL. I bet that kid thinks he is so cool. Everybody is anti-police until they actually need the police.

What a phuckin tool. Who cites case law on a sidewalk?

He's not a lawyer.

Although I might not agree with his motives, and I can say if I were to ever openly carry I would handle a LEO encounter different, I have to say.

I will never disparage someone who chooses to exercise there inalienable rites, the guy did absolutely nothing wrong.

The police officer has a right to protect himself during this Terry stop, he could of frisked this idiot and that is not a search. If there was a 911 call man with a gun, the police had mere suspicion to conduct the stop. The kid refusing to give his name because of the police log? This kid is a jerkoff

That didn't take long.

Apologies, but I am going to quote Wiki on this which I believe to be accurate.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
In the United States, a Terry stop is a brief detention of a person by police[1] on reasonable suspicion of involvement in criminal activity but short of probable cause to arrest.
The name derives from Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1 (1968),[2] in which the Supreme Court of the United States held that police may briefly detain a person who they reasonably suspect is involved in criminal activity;[3] the Court also held that police may do a limited search of the suspect’s outer garments for weapons if they have a reasonable and articulable suspicion that the person detained may be “armed and dangerous”.[4] When a search for weapons is authorized, the procedure is known as a “stop and frisk”.

================================================== =

The guy was never detained, he repeatedly asks if he was being detained and if so why. As I understand the Terry stop only comes into play for citizens being detained.

So I suggest that you CR are wrong and not the guy in the video. Please correct me where I am wrong, this is after all kinda of a important point in this discussion and I wish to know the truth.
