There's a button on the cable box you can press to "page" the remote. Have you tried that.

It's a Logitech 900 universal remote. No dice! Good suggestion.

I would check all trash/recycling bins/cans/bags, etc. I'd also look in obvious spots: underneath all couch cushions, underneath couches, etc. Perhaps it found it's way into a random drawer throughout the house. Check everything.

Glad you did not fall for my ruse. Telephone sets and some remotes do have "finders" though.

I would look all around where I last knew I had it. Then where I usually sit. Then where the wife/other sits when they watch. Then the kids.

Look in the bathroom(s) on top of the tank, in the toy box, dresser drawer, car, in the flower pot, kitchen, on the porch, patio, pantry, laundry basket, recycling bin etc.

In the ladies handbag, man purse, etc.

Did you check your kitchen cabinets? I lost my car keys one time, only to find them next to the glasses in the cabinets. It was the morning, so I was sober at the time.

I found my remote in the fridge once. Watching tv, got up to get a drink still with remote in hand, wasnt really paying attention, and came back to the tv with drink but sans remote.

You already can with Fios. (maybe with other cable companies too) I can turn the tv on and off, change the channel, turn up the volume, mute, record, and set my dvr from my iphone and ipad.
