When do we all finally suck it up and admit the HR Derby blows? Baseball itself is rapidly becoming unwatchable.

Yeah, this is pretty brutal.

Pre game performance by Zach Brown Band, lolllll, I've said it before, MLB is quickly turning into the NBA with these gimmicks.

Berman is just awful.

Ohhhhhhhhhgllglglgll! This one is on its way to (insert local town name here)!

He sounds like Chris Christie yelling at a constituent with an ice cream cone in his mouth.

R.A. Dickey should really be starting the All Star game. Poor job Tony LaRussa.

I agree with the first part and disagree with the second part

Some solid support for Cano there by the local fans.

He seemed to thrive on their enthusiasm.

Brett still has hemorrhoids, apparently.

Good guy though.

Nomah is the best shortstop in baseball. Jeta wicked blows.

Despite the dopeyness of ESPN and co. around this event, I still enjoy the HR derby. And by the way, you're all saying how much it sucks, but you still watch it every year and complain every year.

I think it drags on too long. 10 outs in the first round is too many.

And Berman absolutely ruins it. He's the worst. I actually watched part of the spanish language broadcast online for a little and it was funny as hell.

Yeah, they all sucked. Really the only entertaining part was George Brett being crazy and Adam Jones mooching all of those ribs he brought with him. Oh, and the Crowd vs Cano thing was fun too. He could have at least hit a gold ball or two out though. Hitting zero is pretty pathetic.

I wouldn't have watched it if McCutchen hadn't been put in though, cause it's usually not very good. It was pathetic how they basically ignored him during his whole turn, while they were so busy talking to Josh Hamilton. I understand Hamilton put on a show 5 years ago and Cutch was a huge underdog, but show a little bit of respect to the guy. They barely even acknowledged that he was hitting.

Who's Cutch? Is that the guy from the Pittsburgh Lion's Club Rec League Team they let into the All Star festivities every year to celebrate baseball's service to the community?

He is arguably the NL MVP of the first half.

There a lot of great young exciting players right now in baseball Kemp,Mccutchen,Trumbo,Trout,Harper..just to name a few

But I agree baseball needs to change some stuff

More replay
try as much as possible to speed up the pace of the game

get some youth around the game no more Berman,Mccarver,Buck..some younger broadcasters

Still with all it's issues give me baseball over the NBA (Which according to ESPN is the best sport in the world) any day
