The Dims Love Of Illegal Immigrants.....

Dims love them...Until they start moving into their neighborhood...

Quote:
Heavily Democrat Hamptons: Too Many Immigrants Here

by Dana Loesch
4 Jul 2012

One-percenters in the Hamptons, a predominately Democrat area in both citizenry and representation, are furious over an influx of immigrants they claim are tainting their area. Some residents are angry enough to start a campaign to stop the relocation of new residents who don't "fit" the Hamptons's image.

The small town of East Hampton has gained a reputation as the playground for New York’s well-heeled elite, a place to spend the idle summer months in their million-dollar homes.

But some of its wealthy residents are upset at an influx of less well-heeled workers who they say are lowering the quality of life and diminishing the appearance of the quaint Long Island town.

A campaign group is focusing on the Springs area of East Hampton, dubbing itself 'Unoccupy Springs' and calling for an end to multiple families of low-wage workers living under one roof.

Democrats eschew enforcing immigration laws, as seen with the Obama administration's handling of Arizona's law, upheld by SCOTUS. It does however seem that enforcement isn't a concern until it affects them personally.

Some longtime residents of the Springs and similar areas complain that homes are being illegally crowded, that houses with half a dozen cars parked outside are a blight on the street, and that the many children living inside are overwhelming the local schools and causing property taxes to rise.

Some of the residents echo conservative concerns where it relates to overburdening local resources like schools. It's interesting to see such a liberal stronghold suddenly develop an aversion to immigration when they've spent the past several years bashing Republicans for some of the things these residents are now saying.

libtards get around this by projecting all of their sub-human traits onto those who disagree with them; hence, everyone else is racist and mean.

Since when are the handful of citizens who live in the Hamptons (relative to the rest of the population) representative of the majority of democrats across the country? Stunningly ignorant premise. But what else can be expected when we cull "news" stories from Breibart.com.

Yeah, I'm sure they would be welcomed with open arms in the Hollywood Hills, Hyannis Port etc....

Al(fraud)Gore is single now, maybe he could find room in his multiple mansions to house a few.. Or maybe the Kennedy Compound could house a few. It would be great to see the look on their faces when the illegals show up on their door steps.

Libs = Hypocrites.....

So you believe the handful of residents from the Hamptons and Hollywood Hills, Hyannis Port represent the majority of democrats across the country including democrats who live in poor areas of the country. That is a fascinating point; they have a lot in common.

Far Right = Whatever Rupert Murdoch tells them to =.......

Do you deny that Liberals are equally hypocritical as Conservatives?

Must I point out the hissy-fits about Wind Farms up in Mass?

It's not shocking in the least that a rich liberal area would be as "nativist", "racist" and "anti-immigrant" as any rich conervative area.

The only people it might shock are partisans, who will rush to denounce it, or deny it, as they do with all things.

That, or they'll derail things by making FAUXNews References whilst happily citing sources like DailyKOS themselves elsewhere....

The Springs area of East Hamptons is a blue collar working class area that is being overwhelmed by illegals.

The article in the NY Times might set you straight about a real problem for working class people all over this country including the Hamptons.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/03/ny...pagewanted=all

Quote:
When one thinks of the Hamptons, what jumps to mind are masters of the universe and their mansions by the sea. But a strong, steady stream of immigrants has been flowing to the area for years, drawn by a service economy that demands hedges be trimmed and houses be cleaned. In the Springs, a hamlet in the town of East Hampton, where most of the houses are small and the year-round population is relatively large, the Hispanic population has tripled in the past 10 years — and tension has emerged.

Some longtime residents of the Springs and similar areas complain that homes are being illegally crowded, that houses with half a dozen cars parked outside are a blight on the street, and that the many children living inside are overwhelming the local schools and causing property taxes to rise.

“When you tell people you live in East Hampton, the first words out of their mouth are usually, ‘Do you live next to P. Diddy or Alec Baldwin?’ ” said Dennis Michael Lynch, an East Hampton resident and a filmmaker who made a documentary about illegal immigration called “They Come to America.”

“People have a perception of the Hamptons,” Mr. Lynch continued. “They don’t have an image of illegal immigrants packed like sardines into houses.”

The pockets of tension are concentrated in year-round communities, where the immigrants, legal and illegal, tend to live alongside the landscapers and the contractors with whom they are competing for business. These areas are far less affluent than the southern end of town, where Manhattanites spend the summer by the ocean, in homes hidden behind 12-foot hedges.

“South of the highway, the rich people, they don’t care,” said Ricardo Rodriguez, a carpenter from Colombia who has lived in East Hampton for 12 years. It is among “the working people, regular people like us,” he continued, where less welcoming sentiments can be found. “You can feel it.”

Of course I am not shocked that some people (in this instance some of the liberals who live there) are hypocrites no more then someone would be shocked to know that there are some in the tea party that are racist.

But does that mean that the people that live in the Hamptons are a fair representation of democrats across the country? Or that every single one of them that live in the Hamptons are hypocrites. Does it mean that all liberals are hypocrites? Because that was included by the OP beyond the article itself...

Not illegal, they just got lost crossing into the US. The sign said New Mexico and that confused them.

Because those handful of wealthy, elite liberals represent and their drones among the unions and "peoples who think they are discriminated against" represent the entire voting bloc of Americans who don't vote Republican.
