He had consensual sex with an adult while on the clock. A horrendous error in judgement. I do not think that makes him a bad cop. What if he has a family or children he needs to support. They are the ones that end up being punished.

What if he is a sex addict? Isn't that considered an illness nowadays (thank the libs)? Would you fire someone for having the flu?

You know what? If he stopped in once or twice for quickies, I could articulate slapping him on the wrist with a suspension.

This guy apparently spent entire tours of duty at this chicks house multiple times. What gets me is that someone had to be covering for him and answered his calls. Where were his bosses?

As a supervisor, you repeatedly hear another sector picking up this guys jobs and you dont check up on him?

And he certainly wasnt backing up other cops on their jobs (calls).

I'll defend cops where warranted, but this whole thing stunk on many levels and Nassau needs to examine its field supervision, especially in a job where guys work alone and could be subject to temptation when bored etc.

Cops are human and some do dumb things, the bosses should have ensured this guy was not so comfortable disappearing.
