That Stocks is a little dude.

Even I laugh at him.

There's some great vineyards out there too. Macari is my favorite.
+1 Cliff's rules

Jedediah Hawkins in Jamesport is one of the best restaurants on the East End. It's a little pricy, but definitely worth it.

I'm on the north fork for the next week myself. If you have the time to cook, get some fresh catch at Brauns seafood in Cutchogue and cook it. Peconic bay vineyards is right next door. Live music, wine.

A Lure is a good restaurant in Southold on Goldsmith inlet. Also try the north fork table and inn. Supposed to be good, but I haven't been yet.

As soon as I figure how to post a picture from an iPad, I'll put one up of my view of the bay. Georgeous this AM, great breeze yesterday. Living a dream.

OK, serious question. If you take a photo with this iPad thingy, how the hell would you post it here?

Damn technology. Prolly easy as hell, but I can't figure it.

Ahh the ol' Shinnecock Cock Shiner; my favorite attraction on the East End. I see that body waxing is part of the service.

Octopuses swim by expelling a jet of water from a contractile mantle, and aiming it via a muscular siphon.

Predation

Bottom-dwelling octopuses eat mainly crabs, polychaete worms, and other molluscs such as whelks and clams. Open-ocean octopuses eat mainly prawns, fish and other cephalopods. They usually inject their prey with a paralysing saliva before dismembering it into small pieces with their beaks.[30] Octopuses feed on shelled molluscs either by using force, or by drilling a hole in the shell, injecting a secretion into the hole, and then extracting the soft body of the mollusc.[31]
I guess you pay extra for this.
