Most Pat fans are pretty much on borrowed time and have already crossed the line (there are of course some exceptions - yourself included, you'll be happy to know). So, I'm not sure that anyone can really argue any type of banning, even if the offending post is relatively benign.

Pats fans are guests here and this is not a democracy with "equal time" afforded. You can govern yourself with care, contribute overall to the community and of course throw in the occasional barb. But if your existence is generally to piss off Jet fans, defend the Pats honor at every turn against every insult thrown out and only occasionally contribute, you can't really argue that you've been mal-treated. Well, you can argue whatever you want, but no one is listening.

And the fact that Sooth riled up Pat fans on their boards in the 90s falls in the category of interesting and irrelevant.

The scrums are what makes it interesting. The line should be drawn at family or other "real life" digs not when you write something "mean" about a football team, millionaire player, coach or owner.

Yes we are Sooth's guests but respectfully the shortbus hypocritical homers who have a coronary everytime a Pat fan posts on "their board" are just as detrimental to the forum. They hurl insults yet bleat like babies when they're feelings get hurt. I don't expect fairness here...I wear my big boy pants while posting on the internet so no worries.

I post here primarily for laughs and good natured debate...if I wanted to read nothing but sunshine about the Pats I never would've joined the forum.

Its indisputable that the Pats pom pom waving forum has a hair trigger and insta bans rival fans who don't behave (IE: kiss ass). While JI is thankfully more tolerant and thus far more intersting/entertaining the latest bannings edges JI closer to a NY version of the painfully vanilla Pats fan forum. My 2 cents which is only worth belly button lint here.

posting contrarian opinions and discussion is great. Derailing threads is not. Big difference. You never derail threads. You mostly discuss football. TX always derails threads. He'll shift the topic to his liking. As do some others. Those are the ones that need to go. FF2 doesn't even talk about football. He's here solely to get some semblance of a social life. Innocuous. Can't understand why that puppy upsets anyone. Anyway, that's how I see it. For the life of me, I still can't understand how a Pats fan can spend such a disproportionate amount of time here. A little bit? Why sure. But to the level of Tx, FF2 or VinnyGuidoski? There's something psychologically defective in that crew.

I agree. In turn they will annoy the mods even more b.c now they have seen the fruits of their labor. IMO the mods just made more work for themselves.
