When I read that Lord died the first thing that came to mind was BG because he used to post Deep Purple in the Music thread, but since he was no longer participating on the board I left it at that thinking he was the only one that cared.

I was digging that Lamb of God cut; a little too much hysteria with those electric riffs.

Calm down.

Not exactly an emphatic display of re-insertion but at least the keyboard tool appears to be basically operable.

Still, as penance for your unannounced and unexplained absence (which any decent Hamurite should acknowledge is your bidness and your bidness alone) you should at least post a kick ass recipe for something or some chef's tip that'll either get us laid or make our nipples explode with delight.

ahhhh Korvettes. Brings back memories. Back in 1977, I would visit this girl who was a cashier in the record department at the Douglaston Korvettes. Would hang there for hours. Married her 10 years later. Still married today. Korvettes.

I would have started a thread yesterday, however I was too distracted by Jonah Falcone's conducting baton, to think of anything else musical.

I'm still mired in both anger and sadness. The Tebow signing idiocy was the last straw in a string of personal tribulations. Seeing a parent take their last, labored, breath is more impacting than can ever be even remotely described. Lord's death from pancreatic cancer mirrored my Mom's fate and prompted this thread. It is still unbelievably difficult to block out of my mind.

A guy I worked for told me Korvettes was started by 8 Jewish korean war vets. Thus they coined the name "EJ Korvettes". He was a stand up guy, not sure this is true but could be.

Thanks, Paulie. Lots of folks have gone through this before me. On so many levels, it just blindsides you with emotion.
