Filthy signs Shea Weber to an offer sheet...

So the Filthies sign Shea Weber to a 14 year $110M offer sheet.

If the Preds don't match, they receive FOUR 1st round picks from Philthy.

Supposedly, Filthy is offering up some players in trade for two of the first rounders.

If you're Nashville, what would you do?

Personally, they're still rebuilding anyway IMO and just lost Suter. I think I might take the four picks.

Take the picks. I obviously prefer Philthy not to have him but they aren't exactly a "complete" team and they're taking a huge risk here...

Had to be pretty embarrassing for Holmgren to watch Carter and Richards win the Stanley Cup together the first year after trading them.

Now he's traded JVR. Lost Carle in FA. He's scrambling IMO.

But I will say, Schenn and Weber would be a pretty tough defensive pair.

Should have updated this a while ago.

Nashville matched the offer so Weber is staying with the Preds.

It's a 14 year deal.

Glad Nashville could keep one of their stars. They're a very underrated hockey market. That being said, the terms are ridiculous and the owners look ridiculous doling out these types of contracts while collectively screaming poor at the labor negotiation table.
