Great song from these brilliant songwriters. Extended end sequence (at approx. 3:00) still rocks.

What nasty guitar tone, especially in the chorus and bridge sections.

There were many times in college when I'd slave my stereo into my 100 watt Sunn bass amp. Let's just say that the sound waves in our quad were cresting to tsunami levels. No doubt this one was melting the bricks:

Have to tell you Borgo, I am absolutely interesting in what you think of that new band I posted last page.

I keep starting to listen, then get distracted. Promise you that I will give the entire album a go and respond.

Thought the first cut was very good. Like the guitar player very much. Also understand your comment about the vocals.

Check out Carmine in this time capsule performance. Also cool seeing Beck with a Les Paul. Forgot about Tim Bogert's vocal dexterity (also one of the top 10 underrated bass player in rock history).

These guys should have been massive. I remember trying to figure out everything on their seminal record (to no avail, of course).

Of course, Beck is a madman, but listen to the rhythm section of this masterwork. Folks, this was recorded in 1972! How ahead of the curve were these three mother f**kers?

Nice, gritty version. Check Mel Schacher's punchy, bass. From 1971's Survivor album.

Thanks Borgo!

Haven't listened to this song in at least 20 years. Definitely, one of my favorites from Hall & Oates.
