My guess is its probably more of the latter. I've seen him a bunch of times and catch him whenever he's around, but he's not exactlyt he first artist you think of when thinking of stereotypical live show.

He walked on stage at Radio City and said "A'ight....Everybody ready to have a good time?" Crowd responds "A'ight....everyone ready to get fukin' mellow?" Laughter ensues.
