Forgot to mention that Eric Smith didn't look good in coverage today.
Bell, Landry & Wilson were all better than him

Not exactly breaking news.

If all goes well, it should be Bell and Landry back there.

No one out prepares Sanchez. His mental work in the off-season, twice visiting Pennington in Miami, means that he is on an accelerated curve with the new offense. I think it's fair to say that McElroy, while limited in physical ability is the brightest of the QB's so he is going to pick up a new system quickly.

My guess is that Tebow will be the person who will struggle most in camp, learning the new system. Give him until the end of training camp and he will likely catchup in terms of comfort level running the offense. I would not count Tebow out to be No.2, it's never pretty but the dude brings it at game time.

The Pennington haters would not agreed but I think Sparano should bring Pennington up to Cortland to help the qb's adjust to his system ...

I'd honestly even take Bell/Bush if it means Smith doesn't see the field. He's just sooo bad.

Me too. I think the Jets may have similar plans. They have brought in a bunch of safeties, so hopefully someone stands out.

Yelling throw the ball isn't exactly heckling.

Especially if he should be throwing the ball.

Jets fans that are tired of hearing tebow's name everyday in the media, and no other jets name

and its not heckling if your yelling the truth

KRL, great notes, as always!

Three questions:

1- you mentioned:

"Coach Lal (WR) is a stickler for precise routes always working with the
group during the technique portions of practice. Also he uses the JUGS
machine making the WR's "blind turn" and catch balls at random "

How did this differ from WR Coach Ellard in yrs past? I still go back to the Hard Knocks segment with Namath and how he was ripping the Jets WR for their laziness in practice.

2 - Sapp - How did he look? (And this will be a question not just for today but as long as you are at camp)

3 - Ryan Steed - Does he get many reps? At CB and/or S? How does he look? He's one of my UDFA sleepers (Dowtin too)

Thanks, KRL!

You're right.

He should be coddled and stroked for being, well, Tim Tebow.

Official attendance at Jets practice today: 2,588. Unofficially, about 5 people "heckled" Tim Tebow. Or, 0.2 percent of the crowd. #nyj -- Manish Mehta (@MMehtaNYDN)

That's still less than the people who heckle Obama when he's at big events.

Well I do realize that it's not his fault, but It's all that Tebowmania that causes people to get on him. The media talking about public pressure. People are afraid he might actually have to play QB. They want to make sure the coach knows they don't want him doing that.
