Dropping my youngest son (13) off at Buffalo Naval Park for his weeklong training. We had tee time in Syracuse for a little dad/sopne time together before he is incommunicado for a week (that's gonna kill me -- I've never gone a single day without speaking with him his entire life). Had no time for a Jets camp pit stop.

No cell phone?

I couldn't do that--I've spoken to all three of my college aged kids every single day since they started going to school, never missed one day--even when my daughtne was in Florence and my Sopne was in Madrid.

Hate this business with kids growing up

It really is killing me...he just turned 13...to drop him off in a military environment 425 miles away from home, and to not be able to speak with him until Saturday, it's rough. He's there with all the cadets from his L.I.-based division, so he's alright with it. As for his Pops...not so much

We played an executive (par 3) course at Burnet Park. He just started playing this summer and he's been getting frustrated off the tee. I thought I'd mix it up and let him hit his irons and wedge a bit more. It was a fun round
