In reference to the Battle Royale vs. The Hunger Games, I see where the concepts are obviously very similar. However, as you'll see, or you have seen already if you've read all three books, that the Hunger Games are only a part of the overall story. Also reportedly, Suzanne Collins knew nothing of the Battle Royale. Before you all tell me about your bridges, as I don't know necessarily that a movie grossing $25 million in Japan makes it noteworthy. Especially if you're not one of those movie aficionados who feel like a movie has that special, "[the] expertly choreographed scenes of mayhem are at once comical and appalling, and [Fukasaku's] young cast embraces the melodramatic extremity of the story with impressive conviction." But what do I know.

Robert Shaw was incredible as Quint.

surer hero wise the one missing is Aquaman from the original superfriends, as I think there is a Wonder Woman in the works, perhaps a topless scene with her fellow Amazons would add a new twist to that tale....
