Yankees are in trouble

They did nothing to improve themselves at the deadline, while other teams like the Rangers and Angels did. They have an offense that only hits home runs and a pitching staff that's okay a best. Ivan Nova has been pretty much garbage all season.

Now that the Yankees are penny pinchers, A-Rod and that contract will be the death of this team.

The Yankees have nothing to worry about. As long as Pettitte comes back and is healthy their starting pitching is fine and they have still have an excellent bullpen.

Rangers didn't really do much at all. Dempster is a NL pitcher who I can see not being good in the AL much like Javy Vazquez.

I agree the Angels are very much a threat with Greinke addition but then again they already were. Other than Greinke there were no great pitchers available and Greinke would fold like wet paper bag in the baseball-nuts NY market.

Its fricken July.

We've had injuries, and players are coming back.

Pettitte recently had a set back, and it's no guarantee he will be good when he gets back.

The Yanks really didn't need to make any more moves then what they did. So they lost ARod and Tex for a month or 2 who cares. That is why they have Chavez and Swisher. So maybe Nix or Jones play a few more games big whoop. They have been playing a good portion of the year and we still have a top 5 batting lineup. OK at best! The pitching staff is top 8 in era and 4th in Ks. Nova has actually pitched better then expected this year IMO. He has brought his ERA down from 5.6 to 4.08 in the last 2 months. Beating Atlanta Washington, Boston, and TB. He is not going to be perfect no one is and he is our #4.

Then what?

If you want to sit on a 9 game lead all season with no drama, you arent much of a baseball fan. You are a front runner.

Ebb and flow...tension and release....relaz dude. Its what makes watching fun.

Btw.... Met fans have been calling in to the FAN the last few days incredulous about the amount of whiney Yank fans, lately.

Frankly I agree.

People refuse to acknowledge how much luck matters in the postseason. Just make the postseason, and anyone can win. Even a mediocre St Louis team. Everyone would love to have 5 #1 pitchers, but thats just not going to happen.
