What an a**hole...so much for a "classy" organization. Isn't winning a SB enough for this clown? His father Wellington had real class- obviously his idiot son didn't inherit any of it.

Giants owner John Mara, who seems to be obsessed with this whole Tim Tebow thing, took a jab at the Jets during an interview Wednesday on ESPN New York 98.7 FM. Mara was asked about Jerry Jones' boast that the Dallas Cowboys would "beat the Giants' ass," and he responded with some comic relief -- at the Jets' expense.

"That's the first time I've heard that comment," he said. "I've been so caught up in the Tebow coverage, I haven't had time for anything else."

ESPN has been camping out with the Jets this week, providing in-depth coverage from the morning practice sessions.

This marked the second time since the Tebow trade that Mara tweaked the Jets. At the NFL meetings in March, on the eve of Tebow's mega-introductory news conference in Florham Park, N.J., Mara was asked if New York is big enough for the defending Super Bowl champions and Tebow.

"I don't know," he said, "but the David Carr press conference will be tomorrow afternoon, too."

I found the joke actually funny, and I so not believe it is at the expense of the Jets - but rather clowns in the media.

If anything he's dissing the media for their obsession with all things Tebow.

How this is a diss of the Jets and unclassy I don't know.

He made a joke, lighten up Francis. What a bunch of wusses.

Not a big deal, just shows that there is envy over the coverage the Jets get and the lack of coverage the Champs get... they claim they don't want the press, but his comments hint otherwise...

That doesn't bother me. He's 100% right, and it's more on the media than the Jets (although the Jets obviously knew what they were getting themsevles into.)

Nailed it. Mara and Woody have fought many battles over petty stuff involving the stadium, like who got the first home game, so this is just another way for him to tweak Woody. Not that I feel sorry for Woody, but you'd think he'd take a shot back at Jerry Jones, not make another crack about the Tebow coverage, which, BTW, is so obvious as to be stupid. Another NFL owner's son who doesn't get the legacy he inherited.

Who cares either way. Giants have proven they're as petty as any team in the NFL.

At least Rex doesn't pretend to be humble like many people act in the NFL.

Mara's not dissing the Jets here, but let's not pretend the Giants are so classy.

Anyone forgetting that our head coach has blabbed since he got here that we're the best team in NY? If this is a dig from Mara, it's pretty tame by comparison.... (and his team did just win the SB)
